Job Description

Provides operational human-resources support to UNOPS personnel and partners, helping the HR Services team deliver accurate, timely recruitment, personnel administration and advisory services. The role maintains reliable records and systems, supports employment documentation and benefits processes, and helps clients navigate recruitment policies and procedures.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Review international-consultant recruitment requests for completeness and policy compliance
  • Prepare appointment or assignment offers and supporting documentation
  • Monitor recruitment stages and escalate processing delays or issues
  • Advise clients on recruitment policies and procedures
  • Maintain HR systems, personnel files and statistical records
  • Process visa and permit applications with United Nations counterparts
  • Verify personnel claims and benefits against applicable rules
  • Support contract renewals, personnel actions, attendance and leave administration

Role Requirements

  • Secondary school with four years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with no relevant experience
  • Relevant experience in Human Resource Management
  • Experience using collaboration and productivity tools and web-based management systems
  • Fluent English
  • Fluent Urdu

Desired Criteria

  • Professional Human Resource Management certification
  • Experience in multicultural or UN-system environments in a developing country
  • Experience in development or humanitarian contexts
