Consultant national pour le contrôle technique des infrastructures WASH

Provides UNICEF with technical control of water, sanitation and hygiene infrastructure works in North Kivu. The national consultant verifies materials, methods, safety and environmental compliance; monitors contractors and community partners; conducts site meetings and field visits; reviews payment statements, identifies construction defects and corrective actions; and supports technical.

• Verify material equipment and implementation-method compliance at each site
• Ensure water and sanitation works comply with technical and contractual requirements
• Support NGOs implementing community-based WASH activities
• Organize weekly site meetings and monitor schedules and supplies
• Report construction non-compliance incidents and corrective actions
• Conduct field visits technical surveys and technical acceptance missions

• Bac+5 degree in civil engineering hydraulics hydrogeology or sanitary engineering
• At least five years supervising water-supply works and latrine or sanitation construction
• Experience implementing rural projects in logistically difficult areas
• Fluent French and intermediate English

• WASH or rural-infrastructure project-management specialization
