National Individual Consultancy: Support IPA 2020 Project Rehabilitation Activities

Provides technical oversight for UNICEF rehabilitation projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, ensuring construction works are sound, supervised and documented against approved designs, specifications and contractual obligations. The consultancy safeguards quality, accessibility and health and safety standards while supporting reliable implementation of education-related infrastructure activities.

• Support the technical soundness of assigned construction projects
• Supervise and document construction project delivery
• Ensure implementation follows approved designs and technical specifications
• Ensure construction works meet contractual, health, safety and accessibility requirements

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering or another relevant technical field
• Minimum three years of relevant professional experience in construction project monitoring, site supervision, quality assurance or construction and rehabilitation works
• Experience reviewing technical documentation, drawings, technical specifications, bills of quantities and cost estimates
• Fluency in Bosnian, Croatian or Serbian and English

• Experience with UNICEF, another UN agency, an international organisation or a development or humanitarian programme
• Experience with public-sector construction or rehabilitation projects
• Experience procuring construction works and engineering services
• Familiarity with UNICEF or UN construction, procurement and contract-management procedures
• Emergency or humanitarian construction experience
