Job Description
The United Nations Support Office in Haiti seeks a Conduct and Discipline Officer in Port-au-Prince to lead mission programmes on conduct, misconduct prevention and accountability. The role advises management, oversees case management and data tracking, coordinates with investigators and partners, develops awareness measures, and prepares analyses and reports. It is a roster-only P-4 opportunity

Summary of Responsibilities
- Advise management on complaints and alleged improprieties by mission civilian personnel
- Review alleged misconduct, document complaints and determine whether investigation is warranted
- Liaise with OIOS and mission investigative offices to follow up on misconduct allegations
- Oversee data management and tracking of civilian-personnel misconduct
- Develop awareness and prevention measures on UN standards of conduct
- Prepare statistical analyses, briefings and progress reports on conduct and discipline activities
Role Requirements
- Master's degree in law, human rights, human resources management or a related field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- Seven years of progressively responsible experience in conduct and discipline, law, human rights or human resources management
- Experience gathering and analysing conduct-and-discipline information and solving related problems
- Experience providing conduct-and-discipline services in a UN or comparable field operation
- Experience assessing and managing conduct-and-discipline risks
- English and French proficiency
- Open only to applicants already on pre-approved rosters
Desired Criteria
- Familiarity with administrative, labour, criminal or military law and principles
