Inbound Delivery Coordination Officer

Coordinates inbound freight and movement-control operations for the United Nations Support Office in Haiti, ensuring shipments, customs, transport and delivery records are managed efficiently. The role plans logistics services, resolves delivery disruptions, supports transport contracting and reporting, and works with vendors, mission units and authorities to sustain reliable supply chains.

• Coordinate inbound freight activities with vendors, procurement and the centralised warehouse
• Confirm deliveries, review shipping documents and update receipt information in Umoja
• Track shipments, delivery status and documentation and identify remedies for delays
• Plan deliveries and prepare freight-forwarding statements of work and technical bid evaluations
• Coordinate customs, transport and movement-control activities with vendors and relevant authorities
• Provide movement-control services for passenger and cargo transport, including dangerous goods
• Develop cost-effective transport plans and evaluate aviation, sea and surface transport contracts
• Draft logistics plans, reports, briefings and standard operating procedure inputs

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least ten years of progressively responsible experience in movement control, multimodal transportation, airline operations or transport logistics management, including three years supervising complex international transport operations
• A first-level university degree reduces the required relevant experience to five years
• At least three years of customs and commercial freight operations experience including inbound and outbound delivery
• Experience using IATA, ICAO or IMO dangerous-goods rules and procedures
• Certification in dangerous-goods transportation under IATA, ICAO or IMO rules
• English at UN Level II
