Job Description

UNICEF seeks a Supply & Logistics Manager to provide strategic leadership of supply-chain operations in Mali. Reporting to the Deputy Representative Operations, the role directs planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, transport and distribution, while strengthening supply performance, risk management and emergency readiness with programme teams and partners.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, transportation and distribution of supplies and services
  • Oversee supply-chain operations supporting humanitarian and development programmes across Mali
  • Collaborate with programme teams, government counterparts, UN agencies, donors and implementing partners on supply solutions
  • Strengthen supply-chain performance, operational innovation and risk management
  • Maintain emergency preparedness and timely delivery of assistance to vulnerable children and communities

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in a listed supply-chain, business, management, health or related field
  • At least 8 years of relevant work experience in supply management, contracting, logistics, administration, vendor management, warehousing, inventory, transportation, emergency response or public procurement
  • Extensive experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, supply chain operations, risk management and negotiation
  • Fluency in French and intermediate English

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language
  • Knowledge of emergency response management, humanitarian programme management, health supply management, supply-chain certification or logistics-cluster coordination
  • Relevant experience in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts
