Supply Chain Associate (Warehousing & Logistics)

Provides logistics, warehousing and supply-chain support from IOM’s Manila Supply Chain Unit to operations worldwide. The associate develops logistics plans, coordinates shipments and contracts, serves as a point of contact for transport providers and customs, improves quality controls and SOPs, and supports field training and procurement activities in line with IOM policies and best practices.

• Draft logistics plans and documents for logistics operations
• Support timely and cost-effective delivery of IOM shipments
• Liaise with transport providers on claims
• Analyse logistics-contract information and generate statistics
• Provide procedural logistics advice to IOM missions and offices
• Serve as contact point between internal teams, freight forwarders and customs authorities
• Support logistics training and dissemination of supply-chain practices
• Develop and update quality-control mechanisms, SOPs and logistics guidelines

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or a related field with three years of relevant experience, or high school diploma with five years
• Experience in logistics, supply-chain operations, procurement, warehousing or a related field

• CIPS Level 2 or similar procurement, logistics or cargo-insurance training is an advantage
• Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage
• Experience in an international, governmental or multinational organisation is desirable
