Job Description

Supports IOM Iraq's supply-chain operations by planning procurement, evaluating suppliers and administering purchasing in line with organisational rules. The role also manages logistics services, office supplies, fleet records, assets and generator fuel use, helping the Erbil operation maintain timely, compliant delivery of goods and services across the mission.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Plan procurement activities and analyse purchasing trends and supply-chain bottlenecks
  • Prepare procurement actions, evaluate vendors and analyse requests for equipment and services
  • Solicit and appraise bids, select suppliers and prepare purchase orders under IOM procurement rules
  • Track procurement transactions and payments to support timely delivery of goods and services
  • Monitor office supplies and submit logistics-service payments to the Finance Unit
  • Maintain fleet movement records, vehicle data, asset registers and generator fuel logs

Role Requirements

  • University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field with three years of relevant professional experience, or completed high school with five years
  • Professional experience in local or international procurement, clearing and forwarding, VAT and Government of Iraq laws and regulations
  • Fleet and insurance management experience
  • Experience in inventory, stock and supplies management
  • Fluency in English, Kurdish and Arabic in oral and written communication

Desired Criteria

  • Experience working with an international organization or NGO in procurement
