Job Description
Manages logistics activities for health supply chains in Myanmar, helping maintain the flow of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies. The associate will coordinate transport, imports, storage and distribution; monitor partner data and stock risks; support forecasting and logistics budgets; build partner capacity; and ensure safe, timely delivery to programmes across the country.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Manage logistics components of the health supply chain with the Logistics team
- Prepare transport plans, procure in-country transport and generate transport purchase orders and insurance documentation
- Monitor implementation of the Logistics Management and Information System by sub-recipients and improve supply-chain performance
- Coordinate timely, cost-effective and safe delivery of goods and services
- Handle importation, customs-clearance and in-country distribution processes for shipments
- Coordinate freight forwarders, transport companies and sub-recipient logistics teams
- Analyze stock reports and movements and mitigate stockout, overstock and expiry risks
- Maintain shipment, customs, warehouse, insurance and partner-storage records and coordinate logistics training
Role Requirements
- Secondary education diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in logistics and supply chain management
- Fluent English and Burmese
- Open to UNOPS internal candidates and Myanmar nationals only
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of WHO Good Storage and Distribution Practices
- Logistics Management Information System implementation experience
- Logistics or inventory planning background
- Knowledge of UNOPS procurement procedures and import, export or customs rules
