Job Description
Supports UNOPS Global Fund procurement operations for Myanmar health programmes in Yangon. Working with minimal supervision, the role plans and monitors sourcing, prepares tender and contract documentation, maintains supplier and procurement records, resolves delivery issues, supports committee submissions and audits, and shares procurement knowledge to deliver compliant goods and services.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Execute procurement steps that embed sustainability and prepare complete committee submissions
- Prepare purchase-order, contract and long-term-agreement documentation and amendments
- Conduct market research and maintain supplier, procurement-file and information databases
- Prepare procurement plans, monitor purchase orders and advise on sourcing options and deadlines
- Review requisitions and prepare specifications and statements of work for solicitation documents
- Liaise with vendors and consignees to achieve safe delivery and resolve post-order problems
- Prepare tender documents, support bid evaluation and organise contract-committee meetings
- Maintain contract records and deliver procurement training and knowledge-sharing initiatives
Role Requirements
- Secondary school with seven years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with three years of relevant experience
- Relevant experience in procurement or related areas
- Experience using collaboration and productivity tools and web-based management systems
- Fluency in English and Burmese
- Open to UNOPS internal candidates and Myanmar nationals only
Desired Criteria
- CIPS or comparable professional procurement certificate
- UN-system or multicultural-environment experience
- Development or humanitarian-context experience
