Job Description
Advances WFP’s resilient supply chains by designing initiatives that reduce environmental and social impacts while improving operational efficiency. The consultancy supports country offices and partners with strategy, policy, research, impact measurement, financing and capacity-building work, translating sustainability evidence into procurement, logistics and supply-chain improvements.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support Country Offices to implement supply-chain environmental strategies and sustainability projects
- Develop policies, guidelines, plans and procedures for resilient and efficient supply-chain operations
- Build relationships with WFP divisions and external partners on sustainability efforts
- Identify partnership, funding, financing and procurement opportunities that incentivise sustainable practices
- Research sustainability trends and translate findings into operational recommendations
- Document lessons learned and best practices for sustainable supply-chain initiatives
- Use ECODASH and related frameworks to monitor and report sustainability impacts
- Provide technical guidance and training to Country Offices and partners
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in environmental science, supply chain management, business administration, engineering, international development, international relations or another relevant field, or first university degree with additional related experience or training
- At least three years of relevant professional experience for CST-I, or at least five years related to sustainability in the multilateral sector for CST-II
- Experience on environmental or social sustainability initiatives within a supply-chain context
- Experience in supply-chain management, procurement, logistics, operations, circular economy, climate action, sustainable sourcing or related fields
- Fluency in oral and written English including strong technical writing skills
Desired Criteria
- Experience conducting research, policy analysis or technical assessments
- Experience managing projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders
- Experience developing guidance materials, training programmes or knowledge products
- Experience building partnerships with governments, international organisations, NGOs, donors or private-sector organisations
- Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks, impact-measurement methodologies or ESG approaches
- Experience in developing countries, humanitarian settings or international development programmes

- Consultancy level is determined by Terms of Reference complexity rather than candidate experience
