Job Description
IOM is recruiting a Supply Chain Officer to support regional offices in Dakar. The role plans and monitors procurement, logistics, warehousing, transport, fleet and asset activities; conducts market and capacity analysis; manages vendors and tenders; strengthens internal controls; and trains supply chain staff while supporting inter-agency coordination and delivery of goods and services.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategic planning for regional and country-office supply chain activities
- Conduct logistics capacity assessments and market research
- Coordinate supply chain planning, budgeting, scheduling and provision of goods and services
- Support procurement, warehouse, transport, fleet, asset and facilities management
- Identify supply chain bottlenecks and propose process improvements
- Manage vendor pools and evaluate supplier performance
- Oversee bidding processes and procurement transactions
- Provide training and guidance to regional and country-office supply chain staff
Role Requirements
- Master’s degree in a specified field with two years of relevant professional experience or University degree with four years
- Fluency in English
- Experience managing diverse procurement and logistics operations
- Experience training and supervising teams and managing vendors and suppliers
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of Oracle
- Working knowledge of Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish
