Job Description
Supports UNDP Jamaica’s Technical Assistance Centre with community communications and public engagement. The National UN Volunteer conducts outreach, distributes approved information, collects feedback, prepares and displays event materials, documents activities with photographs and videos, organizes records and stories, supports digital engagement tools, guides participants, coordinates.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Implement community-awareness and public-information activities for the Technical Assistance Centre
- Share initiative services event information and participation opportunities with community members
- Distribute approved communication and promotional materials
- Identify strategic outreach locations and information-sharing opportunities
- Collect community feedback and relay observations to the Project Officer
- Prepare display and maintain communications and visibility materials at the event
- Capture photographs and short videos with guidance and participant consent
- Organize photographs captions attendance information and event documentation
- Support QR registration information resources and online feedback platforms
- Guide participants and coordinate communications among volunteers stakeholders and providers
Role Requirements
- Savanna-la-Mar residency
- English proficiency
- Local-community knowledge and diverse-community engagement ability
- Basic digital literacy using smartphones tablets and common digital applications
- Flexible event-preparation and implementation availability
Desired Criteria
- Community outreach communications public engagement customer-service event-support or volunteer experience
- Mobile photography or short-video experience
- Government-agency partner-organization volunteer and UNDP-staff collaboration experience
