Job Description
Lead WFP's Cloud Infrastructure Services team at headquarters, setting technical direction for secure, scalable cloud and hybrid platforms. The role manages cloud specialists, governance and modernization initiatives; designs AWS, Azure and GCP infrastructure; drives FinOps and cybersecurity practices; and turns infrastructure needs into business cases, forecasts and incident escalation decisions.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Cloud Specialists through workload management, evaluations and professional development
- Represent cloud infrastructure proposals to the Architectural Board and governance bodies
- Design and implement scalable, highly available cloud-native infrastructure across AWS, Azure and GCP
- Lead security hardening through IAM, encryption and automated auditing with the cybersecurity team
- Drive FinOps work to monitor cloud spending and optimize cloud and hybrid environments
- Forecast infrastructure capacity needs and coordinate response during high-severity incidents
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or a relevant field, or a first degree with two additional years of related experience
- At least eight years of progressively responsible experience supporting production applications or administering enterprise cloud and hybrid IT services
- Fluency in English and intermediate knowledge of a second official UN language or Portuguese
- AWS cloud certification
Desired Criteria
- GCP or Azure certification is desirable
- Agile, Scrum or ITIL v4 certification is desirable
