Child Protection Officer

Supports UNICEF’s child-protection programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a focus on humanitarian and migration responses for children on the move. The officer helps plan, implement, monitor and report results, works with government and civil-society partners, and strengthens case management, protection services and sustainable transition to government ownership.

• Support research, analysis, programme design and results-based planning
• Monitor programme implementation, resources and results
• Conduct field monitoring and provide technical and operational support to partners
• Strengthen collaboration with government institutions, UN agencies, NGOs and other partners
• Capture lessons learned and promote good practices
• Support capacity development and transition towards government ownership

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent first-level university degree in social science, international development, psychology, sociology, social work, international studies, international law or a related field
• At least one year of relevant experience in child protection, programme management, migration, humanitarian coordination, case management, monitoring and evaluation or partnership development
• Analytical, communication, report-writing, partnership-building, coordination and facilitation skills
• Fluency in English and a local language
