Protection of Family Links Field Officer

Implements and monitors ICRC protection-of-family-links work in Odesa for families of missing and captured people. The field officer manages tracing cases, supports family-centred needs assessments and referrals, and builds awareness of ICRC procedures with families, associations and authorities while maintaining accurate, confidential and sensitive case documentation.

• Develop and maintain contacts with families of missing and captured persons
• Collect new tracing enquiries and follow up regularly on existing cases
• Keep families informed of developments in their cases
• Maintain proper case documentation and data management
• Analyse cases to inform ICRC action for families
• Conduct awareness sessions with families and authorities on protection-of-family-links procedures
• Identify family needs and referrals to other ICRC departments or external services
• Map available services and maintain contact with family associations in the Odesa area

• Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
• University degree or relevant professional experience
• Typically three to five years of experience in social, political, economic sciences or a similar field
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Ukrainian
• Computer literacy

• Experience with ICRC or another humanitarian agency
