Protection Field Officer

ICRC is recruiting a Protection Field Officer in Kyiv to implement and develop its Safe Cross-Border Passage programme, which supports the repatriation and family reunification of people affected by conflict. The officer assesses cases, maintains case records, coordinates with authorities and partners, supports field activities, and analyses protection, security and social developments.

• Manage the day-to-day implementation and development of the Safe Cross-Border Passage programme
• Assess and process potential cases against established criteria and ensure timely beneficiary follow-up
• Support sub-delegations on programme cases and activities through field trips and meetings
• Maintain accurate and timely Safe Cross-Border Passage files in line with data-entry and reporting procedures
• Collect, analyse and share protection information and prepare reports
• Maintain relationships with authorities, National Society branches, NGOs and service providers
• Support meetings and provide interpretation when required
• Analyse security, socioeconomic, cultural and political developments and share updates with the team

• Ukrainian citizenship or permanent-resident permit in Ukraine
• University degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
• Three to five years of professional experience in social, political or economic sciences or a related area
• Professional written and spoken fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian
• Proficiency in computer skills and relevant software applications
