Child Protection Officer (MHPSS)

UNICEF seeks a Child Protection Officer (MHPSS) for Venezuela Country Office. The role will Support child-protection and community-based MHPSS interventions; Support emergency preparedness and response; Coordinate government and civil-society partners. It requires the stated qualifications and supports reliable, evidence-based results for children and communities.

• A completed university degree (Bachelor’s Degree) in social sciences, sociology, anthropology, psychology, communication, public health, or another related field is required
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in child protection, community based MHPSS interventions, community engagement, with at least 2 years in humanitarian or emergency contexts is required
• Proven experience supporting emergency preparedness and response in contexts affected by natural hazards or/and complex crises is required
• Proficiency in Spanish is required

• Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French or Russian) is desirable
