Job Description
Directs UNFPA's accounting, statutory reporting, revenue and donor reporting, treasury coordination and financial data management. The role leads three specialist units, maintains IPSAS-aligned policies and ERP controls, and ensures accurate global closure, reporting and audit responses.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead the Data Management, Statutory Reporting and Revenue and Donor Reporting units
- Advise Finance Branch leadership and contribute to branch strategy and workforce management
- Maintain accounting policies and adapt ERP systems for new IPSAS standards
- Oversee general-ledger control, periodic closure and preparation of UNFPA financial statements
- Manage external, Executive Board and donor reporting and resolve audit recommendations
- Oversee treasury-service relationships, banking operations and digital payment innovation
- Maintain financial master data, quality-assured datasets and responsive support for field offices
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in finance, accounting or a related field, or a recognised international professional accounting qualification
- At least 10 years of progressive financial accounting and statutory reporting experience in multinational organisations, including five years in supervisory roles
- Experience developing risk-based financial policies and procedures, with emphasis on IPSAS
- Experience interpreting accounting standards and developing compliant policies
- Experience producing statutory financial reporting under IPSAS or IFRS
- Experience maintaining and managing ERP applications and reporting tools
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience managing ERP systems, preferably Oracle, and developing data-reporting and analytics tools
- Understanding of United Nations financial operations in development and humanitarian contexts
