Responsibilities
- Advise headquarters and field staff on tax reimbursement processes, policies and procedures
- Analyse tax returns, IRS transcripts and related documents for organizational tax cases
- Plan and participate in UN Tax Portal and in-house tax system development and testing
- Explain complex tax matters to clients and evaluate cases involving immigration status
- Coordinate with human resources partners on waiver dates, immigration changes and budget impacts
- Support financial information systems for tax, payroll and accounting operations
- Analyse business processes and contribute to workflow and system improvements
- Supervise Tax Unit work and represent the unit in interdepartmental meetings
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in taxation, accounting, information technology, business administration, finance or a related field, or a first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least five years of progressively responsible professional experience in income taxes, budgeting, accounting, financial reporting or payroll, including complex budgetary and accounting issues
- English is required
