Job Description
Analyses international development-cooperation policy, data and trends for the Financing for Sustainable Development Office. The role supports intergovernmental processes, prepares analytical inputs and technical-cooperation documentation, contributes to capacity-development activities and uses country-level evidence to strengthen policy options, dialogue and action on financing for sustainable development.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Collect, evaluate and analyse socioeconomic and sectoral information on development cooperation
- Prepare analytical studies, briefing notes, speeches and reports on development issues
- Support expert groups, advisory processes, panels and consultations
- Prepare inputs for intergovernmental bodies and follow-up processes
- Compile data for technical-cooperation project proposals and documentation
- Support capacity-development activities on development-cooperation effectiveness
- Monitor and assess technical-cooperation programmes using data and country evidence
- Produce data-driven insights through graphs, charts, tables and reports
Role Requirements
- First-level university degree in economics, development studies, international relations, public policy or a related field
- At least two years of progressively responsible experience in economic research and analysis, policy formulation, application of economic principles in development programmes or a related area
- At least one year of experience in international development cooperation
- Experience supporting capacity-development activities, workshops or technical-training programmes
- English at UN Level III in reading, writing, listening and speaking
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of South-South and triangular cooperation
- Experience supporting intergovernmental bodies
- Experience in data analytics or a related area
