Job Description

Researches forest-financing opportunities, learning resources and good practices for the United Nations Forum on Forests. The intern updates Clearing House databases and web content, analyses global knowledge hubs and prepares concise summaries to improve access to financing information.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Research forest-financing opportunities, learning materials and good practices relevant to developing and transition economies
  • Organise collected information and update the Clearing House and UNFF websites
  • Prepare written content for Clearing House and UNFF webpages
  • Analyse the design and operation of global knowledge hubs to identify improvements for the Clearing House
  • Synthesize webinars and public sources into forest-financing knowledge summaries
  • Upload, maintain and support Clearing House content in the Drupal environment

Role Requirements

  • Final-year student in a bachelor's programme, current master's or doctoral student, or holder of a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree
  • Basic understanding of development-finance instruments including grants, concessional loans, debt, guarantees and blended finance
  • Ability to conduct independent research on financing opportunities and prepare concise summaries
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Personal laptop capable of supporting the internship duties
