Job Description

Coordinates travel, administration and security-support services for WFP Nepal in Kathmandu. The assignment manages trip documentation, resources, procurement and data, works with UNDSS and local authorities on security measures, supports field missions and emergency readiness, and trains colleagues on travel systems and procedures to maintain safe, efficient country-office operations.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate administrative and technical support within Management Services
  • Monitor travel, security, facility and asset resource needs
  • Process procurement, finance and travel actions including trip documents
  • Analyse data and prepare management reports
  • Coordinate security information and support with UNDSS and authorities
  • Support security assessments, risk mitigation and access-control procedures
  • Coordinate field-mission activities and emergency preparedness
  • Train staff on travel regulations, systems and security requirements

Role Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school education with a post-secondary certificate
  • At least six years of relevant travel and administrative-support experience
  • Sound understanding of travel regulations, policies, procedures, processes, standards and systems
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Nepali

Desired Criteria

  • Experience coordinating work and training others
  • Experience working across functional teams
  • Ability to manage emergency situations calmly
  • Knowledge of security administration, risk assessment and coordination with local authorities
