Job Description
The World Bank Treasury seeks summer interns in Washington, D.C. for its 2027 WBG Pioneer programme. Interns will rotate through three Treasury teams, work on team-assigned projects, engage with Treasury leaders and technical sessions, and complete a capstone project. Summary of Responsibilities
- Rotate through three World Bank Treasury teams during the summer programme
- Undertake team-assigned projects and tasks for each rotation
- Participate in technical and career-focused sessions with Treasury leaders

- Complete and present a capstone project to Treasury management
Role Requirements
- Penultimate-year undergraduate student in finance, business, economics or a related field, or a current master’s or PhD student
- Undergraduate applicants must graduate between December 2027 and September 2028
- Availability to work full-time throughout the internship without concurrent employment or an internship
- Proficiency in English
- Demonstrated interest in development work and the World Bank Group mission
Desired Criteria
- Paid work experience, a previous internship or leadership in a financial organisation or club
- Programming experience or specialised software for economic and financial data
- Fluency in a second language
