Intern – Economist and Development Coordination Support

The United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office in Indonesia is seeking a Development Coordination Intern in Jakarta. The intern will research socio-economic trends and Sustainable Development Goal progress, support stakeholder coordination and reporting, document meetings and prepare analytical products. The placement also supports events, knowledge management and engagement with government, UN agencies, civil society and development partners.

• Research socio-economic trends, SDG progress and development priorities
• Prepare background notes, summaries and briefing materials
• Coordinate with UN agencies and relevant stakeholders
• Document meetings and maintain action trackers
• Support SDG monitoring and reporting inputs
• Prepare presentations, communication products and event materials

• Current or completed graduate programme or final year of a first university degree
• Field of study closely related to the internship
• Good knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Teams
• Fluency in English and Indonesian

• Experience preparing development-related written materials
• Experience supporting coordination activities, academic events, stakeholder engagement or outreach
• Knowledge of an additional official United Nations language
