Public Sector Economist

Develops and delivers ADB public-sector-management operations across developing member countries. The economist leads policy-based and project lending, technical assistance and analytical work on fiscal policy, debt and public expenditure management, institutional reform and investment climate, while advising governments and coordinating development partners to improve sustainable and inclusive growth.

• Develop public-sector-management operations and policy-based programmes
• Lead processing and administration of loans and technical assistance
• Conduct economic and sector analysis on fiscal and institutional reforms
• Support government dialogue on public finance and investment
• Coordinate country teams and development partners
• Supervise staff and manage knowledge products

• University degree in economics, finance, public policy or related field
• At least six years of relevant professional experience in public sector management
• Experience in project processing or administration and policy dialogue on public finance
• Excellent written and verbal English

• Postgraduate qualification in a related field
• Experience in a research institution or multilateral agency
