Summary of Responsibilities

  • Help integrate climate change, environment and disaster-risk management into country partnership strategies and programming missions
  • Support engagement with implementing agencies and ministries on climate change operations
  • Track global climate issues and conduct research, data collection and analysis for projects, policy and sector work
  • Provide technical inputs for climate investment projects, technical assistance, strategies and frameworks
  • Support processing and implementation of climate change technical assistance programmes
  • Prepare knowledge products, speeches, briefing notes and presentation materials for senior staff and events
  • Support climate communication, knowledge management, websites, databases, learning and training activities
  • Coordinate inputs for climate work reports and resource assessments

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in climate, environmental sciences, economics, engineering or a related field with advanced training
  • At least eight years of experience in climate change mitigation and adaptation
  • Experience in climate change policy, climate finance and project development
  • Demonstrated experience conducting research and producing analytical and technical reports in English
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills across internal and external teams
  • Two years of relevant experience outside ADB within the past five years
  • Nationality of an ADB member country

Desired Criteria

  • In-depth experience in at least one sector, including experience in Pacific developing member countries
  • Knowledge of development organisation products, processes and systems
