Summary of Responsibilities
- Conduct literature and policy reviews on sustainable chemistry in EV value chains
- Assess environmental and chemical risks across EV life-cycle stages
- Map EV battery material flows and intervention points
- Identify best practices and case studies
- Develop practical guidelines and recommendations
- Prepare training materials and regulatory-toolkit content
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, green chemistry, environmental science, materials science, waste management, sustainable materials or related discipline
- At least five years of progressively responsible experience in sustainable chemistry, chemicals management or environmental management
- EV battery chemistry, manufacturing, recycling and end-of-life-management expertise
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions
- Experience developing policy guidance
- Multicultural and international collaboration experience
