Job Description

UN Women seeks a national consultant to lead gender-responsive green-skills and capacity-development work in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The consultant will design participatory learning programmes and materials, contribute to energy-poverty dialogues, deliver workshops for women, and produce technical inputs and reporting that strengthen climate resilience and sustainable practices.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Design gender-responsive capacity-development programmes and learning materials
  • Contribute to Gender and Energy Poverty Dialogues and technical reporting
  • Develop curricula, facilitator guides and participant assessment approaches
  • Deliver and co-facilitate capacity-development workshops
  • Coordinate technical inputs with the other national consultants
  • Prepare capacity-development reporting and recommendations

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or first-level degree with two additional qualifying years
  • At least five years designing and implementing adult-learning or capacity-development programmes
  • At least three years in climate resilience, sustainable energy, green skills, environmental sustainability or related green-transition work
  • At least five years delivering participatory and inclusive learning activities
  • Fluency in Bosnian, Croatian or Serbian and in English

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of gender equality and social inclusion
  • Knowledge of participatory training methodologies
  • Experience working with government institutions, development partners and civil society
  • Ability to translate technical information into accessible learning content

  • Home-based consultancy requiring travel within Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Training materials will be prepared in Bosnian, Croatian or Serbian
  • Reports and technical documents are submitted in English unless otherwise agreed
