Sustainable Fiscal Policy and Public Finance InternNew

Contributes to UNEP's Economic and Fiscal Policy Unit through projects, research, advocacy and communications on green fiscal policy and public finance. The internship helps advance net-zero and nature-positive integration, analyse harmful subsidies and sustainable budgeting, and communicate practical fiscal-policy reforms for an inclusive green economy and Sustainable Development Goals.

• Support project design, implementation, monitoring and reporting on sustainable fiscal policy and public finance
• Conduct policy research and advocacy on harmful agricultural and fossil-fuel subsidies and sustainable budgeting
• Support communications for UNEP's Economic and Fiscal Policy Unit and Green Fiscal Policy Network
• Contribute to programme, policy and communications work requested by the unit
• Assist work on net-zero and nature-positive integration

• Current graduate-school enrolment, final-year bachelor's enrolment, or graduation within the past year
• Field of study closely related to the internship
• Fluency in oral and written English

• Degree in economics, environment, public policy, development or international relations
• Previous work experience related to the green economy

• United Nations internships are not financially remunerated
• Interns are responsible for travel, visa, accommodation and living costs
