Job Description

Provides specialist programme-management support for the Climate and Clean Air Coalition's portfolio of climate and air-pollution initiatives. The consultant will coordinate governments, partners and experts; manage workplans, risks and delivery arrangements; quality-assure substantive products; and strengthen the Secretariat's delivery of priorities on short-lived climate pollutants.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist advice on assigned CCAC programmes, projects, workstreams and partnership activities
  • Develop workplans, schedules, scopes, budgets, implementation arrangements and risk registers
  • Coordinate governments, partner organisations, implementers, experts and Secretariat contributors
  • Prepare strategies, project documents, proposals, briefings, presentations, correspondence and decision papers
  • Review and quality-assure project, technical, policy, communication and knowledge outputs
  • Monitor progress, results, risks and lessons and prepare governance, partner and donor reporting
  • Organise consultations and workshops and represent CCAC in external engagements
  • Improve Secretariat systems and provide practical advice to colleagues and partners

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in environmental science, engineering, international relations, public policy, development studies, programme or project management, communications or another relevant field, or a first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
  • At least five years of direct professional experience in climate change and air pollution
  • In-depth knowledge of short-lived climate pollutants and their links to climate change, air pollution and sustainable development
  • Experience in multi-stakeholder partnerships and coordinating organisations or stakeholder groups
  • Fluency in English
