Macro Economist

IATA seeks a Macro Economist in Geneva to research global, regional and country macroeconomic developments affecting air transport. The economist will support the Industry Analysis unit’s macroeconomic work stream, coordinate research across regional offices and country markets, produce reports and publications, validate data, present findings and provide analysis to internal and external stakeholders and regulators.

• Research macroeconomic developments affecting the air-transport sector
• Coordinate research across regional offices and country markets
• Integrate regional contributions into division publications
• Produce independent research outputs and analytical publications
• Compile and validate data with colleagues across IATA
• Present research to internal and external stakeholders and regulators

• Postgraduate degree in Economics
• At least five years of research and analysis experience
• Advanced econometrics and statistical-analysis skills
• Fluent written and verbal English

• Macroeconomic research experience in banking or a similar sector
• Experience drafting applied analytical publications
• Knowledge of languages other than English
