Financial Sector Specialist

ADB specialist shaping financial-sector policy and operations across developing member countries, leading loans, grants and technical assistance in banking, capital markets and MSME finance while advising governments and supervising junior staff.

Department: Finance Sector Office, Sectors Department 3

• Identify, design, process and administer financial-sector loans, grants and technical assistance
• Monitor financial-sector developments and structure country and subregional investments
• Lead policy dialogue with governments, regulators and development partners
• Integrate climate impacts, procurement requirements and international good practice into operations
• Coordinate regional, safeguards, climate and private-sector teams on project delivery
• Develop partnerships and disseminate operational knowledge and policy research
• Guide junior staff and lead studies, seminars, reports and policy briefs

• University degree in finance, economics, business administration or a relevant field
• At least six years of finance-sector experience covering banking, capital markets or MSME access to finance
• International experience leading projects or serving as a project economist across countries or development agencies
• Strong policy-dialogue experience with governments and financial regulators
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Nationality of an ADB member
