Overview
The Economics Analyst supports ADB’s Sri Lanka Resident Mission with macroeconomic surveillance, country programming and policy dialogue. The role maintains models and data, contributes to outlooks and knowledge products, supports sovereign loans and technical assistance, and prepares senior-management briefings.

Responsibilities
- Provide economic inputs to country programming and policy dialogue
- Contribute to country strategy and Asian Development Outlook products
- Maintain macroeconomic models, databases, indicators and forecasts
- Support digital and AI-enabled economic monitoring
- Prepare policy notes, publications and management briefings
- Support sovereign loan and technical-assistance projects and partner engagement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, business and finance or a related field
- At least five years of relevant experience including two years in macroeconomic research and data analysis
- Knowledge of Sri Lanka’s economic and social issues and local institutions
- Analytical, drafting and coordination experience
- Excellent computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Sri Lankan nationality or permanent residence
