Supports ECLAC population research in Santiago by collecting and analysing socioeconomic and demographic evidence, building datasets and databases, producing quantitative and qualitative inputs, coordinating research projects, and preparing technical reports and meetings.

Responsibilities
- Monitor population-research work across countries
- Collect, evaluate and analyse socioeconomic and demographic data
- Build specialised datasets and maintain research databases
- Prepare charts, visualisations, briefs and technical reports
- Coordinate day-to-day implementation of research projects
- Organise technical meetings and provide committee secretariat support
- Track legislative decisions affecting programme content
- Guide junior staff and review work assignments
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least ten years of experience collecting and researching social and economic development data, reduced to eight years for candidates with a first-level university degree or higher
- At least seven years of experience producing official sociodemographic information
- Experience collecting, processing, analysing and disseminating demographic and census data
- Required UN Level II English and UN Level III Spanish
- Authorisation to work in Chile
