Job Description
This unpaid full-time internship supports UN-Habitat’s emerging Angola programme from Luanda. The intern will assist urban-development, housing and solid-waste initiatives through project design, fieldwork, data analysis, stakeholder outreach and communications, helping develop sustainable, inclusive and resilient urban solutions with municipalities, communities and partner organisations.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Identify community opportunities and translate problems into project concepts
- Support meetings with potential partners and donors
- Track indicators and monitor reports and partner feedback
- Assist with layouts, engineering calculations, drawings and site inspections
- Collect and analyse waste-stream, generation and disposal data
- Support recycling and circular-economy initiatives with municipalities and local stakeholders
Role Requirements
- Be enrolled in a graduate programme, final year of a first university degree, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD programme
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluent oral and written Portuguese
Desired Criteria
- Portuguese and French communication skills
- English communication skills
- Adobe Illustrator, photo-editing or video-editing software
- Familiarity with circular economy, recycling and sustainable waste disposal
