Job Description
Provides UN-Habitat technical and policy support on sustainable urban mobility, road safety and inclusive transport. The consultant coordinates projects and pilot initiatives, develops proposals and knowledge products, builds city capacity, and supports transport, data and policy activities spanning safe systems, active mobility, low-carbon solutions and transit-oriented development.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate implementation and identify delivery issues for UN Road Safety Fund projects
- Provide technical assistance, capacity building and policy development through ACROS and PAAPAM
- Develop and assess sustainable-mobility proposals focused on road safety and multimodal transport
- Support T-Gate, ACCESS and ACTIVATE mobility projects with technical expertise
- Develop knowledge products and technical papers on safe, inclusive, smart and electric mobility
- Coordinate partner inputs for urban-mobility activities
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in urban planning, transport planning, engineering, geography or a related field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- Minimum five years of experience in urban or transport planning
- Understanding of transport planning, urban planning, urban development, urban policy, legislation and sustainable urbanisation
- Experience working in urban projects and intercultural environments
- Fluency in written and verbal English
