Job Description
UNICEF seeks a national UN Volunteer WASH Specialist in Arauca to lead technical assistance, project delivery and coordination for safe water, sanitation and hygiene. The assignment advances resilient rural, peri-urban and school infrastructure, monitors service quality, strengthens community operators and supports WASH responses in emergencies while integrating protection and climate resilience.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for WASH infrastructure and policy projects in Arauca
- Lead WASH project cycles from diagnosis through monitoring and evaluation
- Develop resilient water and sanitation infrastructure for rural and school settings
- Supervise implementing partners and contractors
- Lead departmental WASH coordination and monitoring
Role Requirements
- Civil or sanitary engineering or related degree
- Experience designing and implementing sustainable WASH projects
- Spanish

- Experience in climate policy, climate finance and investment planning
