Job Description
Leads IFRC's global PSEAH agenda, setting technical direction and oversight across the Secretariat, regions and wider network. The coordinator develops policies, standards, tools and assurance mechanisms; guides risk mitigation and survivor-centred practice; leads safeguarding personnel and learning; and represents IFRC to strengthen accountable, consistent prevention and response systems.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead implementation and review of IFRC's global PSEAH strategy
- Translate policy commitments into practical standards, approaches and tools
- Advise senior management and country teams on preventing and mitigating SEAH risks
- Develop priorities, workplans, indicators and corrective measures
- Lead development and improvement of PSEAH policies, procedures and assurance systems
- Direct PSEAH personnel, workforce planning and technical learning products
- Strengthen reporting, referrals, assistance and protection through survivor-centred approaches
- Represent IFRC in global safeguarding forums and strategic partnerships
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in law, social sciences, international development, humanitarian affairs, organizational development or a relevant field; or a first-level degree with additional relevant experience
- At least 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible PSEAH, safeguarding or closely related experience
- Substantial experience leading PSEAH or safeguarding work in humanitarian, development or similarly complex settings
- Experience leading and managing PSEAH professionals
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Good command of French, Spanish or Arabic
Desired Criteria
- Experience working in a Red Cross or Red Crescent National Society, IFRC or ICRC is preferred
- Understanding of IFRC and Movement processes, systems, values and culture is preferred
