Job Description
UNIDO’s Facility Management Services seeks a G-5 team leader to ensure safe, reliable operation, maintenance and repair of electro-mechanical equipment at the Vienna International Centre. The post leads maintenance staff, plans preventive maintenance, coordinates inspections and contractors, supports equipment upgrades, manages assets and records work through the electronic work-order platform.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the Electro-Mechanical and Equipment Team to deliver maintenance, repair and installation services
- Develop, implement and monitor the annual work plan and preventive maintenance programme
- Provide technical guidance, coaching and on-the-job training to team members
- Organize and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment
- Coordinate assembly, installation, testing, troubleshooting, repair and replacement of electro-mechanical systems
- Coordinate and monitor contractor maintenance and repair services
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records in the Facility Management Electronic Work Order Platform
- Liaise with TÜV during statutory inspections, safety tests and certification activities
Role Requirements
- Local recruitment only
- Completed secondary education complemented by apprenticeship in mechatronics, electrical or another related field, or completed higher technical school or equivalent with relevant practical experience
- At least five years of progressively responsible relevant experience in installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical and electrical equipment and systems
- Proven experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment and building service systems
- Experience coordinating maintenance activities, providing technical guidance and overseeing technicians and contractors
- Good physical condition for physically demanding work
- Working knowledge of English and German
Desired Criteria
- Master Tradesman Certificate in the field of work
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems or electronic work order systems
- Experience working in an international organization or a complex multi-building facility environment
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP software
