Summary of Responsibilities

  • Perform office-support and administrative functions for the Programme Management Unit
  • Draft routine correspondence and produce documents and reports using word-processing tools
  • Monitor schedules and document approvals to support compliance requirements
  • Research and organise information for reports, work plans, briefings and meetings
  • Provide secretarial and logistics support for meetings, events and missions
  • Maintain calendars, files, databases, distribution lists and administrative records
  • Process administrative requests including travel, contracts, expenditure and purchase documents
  • Provide guidance on office procedures and computer applications to less experienced staff

Role Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years' experience in general office support or a related area
  • English is required
  • Applicants must be authorised to work for the United Nations in the New York duty station

Desired Criteria

  • Experience within the UN common system or a comparable international organisation
