Summary of Responsibilities

  • Design and carry out statistical-data collection, evaluation, analysis and dissemination
  • Develop, implement and manage statistical databases
  • Provide research and technical support on country-level economic and financial data
  • Produce graphs, charts, tables and reports for data-driven decision-making
  • Research and revise statistical standards, concepts, definitions and classifications
  • Prepare technical documents for Pension Board and expert-group meetings

Role Requirements

  • Advanced degree in statistics, actuarial science, data science, mathematics, economics or a related field
  • A first-level degree with qualifying experience may substitute for an advanced degree
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience collecting, compiling, analysing and disseminating statistical or economic data
  • Advanced Excel and proficient Power BI, Word and PowerPoint use
  • English at UN Level III

Desired Criteria

  • Defined-benefit pension-fund experience is desirable
  • Actuarial-function experience is desirable
