Overview

Responsibilities
- Review cost estimates and budget proposals for staff and non-staff requirements
- Support managers in developing resource requirements and budget submissions
- Prepare responses and materials for legislative and oversight bodies
- Monitor allotments, expenditures and reallocations
- Administer extra-budgetary resources and review cost plans
- Analyse budget performance and recommend action on variances
- Supervise staff and produce data-driven reports and visualisations
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in business administration, finance or a related field, or a first university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least five years of progressively responsible experience in finance, budget, accounting or a related area
- Experience in budget development and financial management in the United Nations or a comparable international organisation
- Experience using Microsoft Excel Power Query
- Experience designing reports in Power BI
- Experience in an Executive Office finance team or similar administrative office
- Experience with ERP budget formulation and financial reporting modules such as Umoja BPC and Umoja Analytics
- English at UN Level II in reading, writing, listening and speaking
