Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for programme planning and budgeting
- Advise senior leadership on budgetary policy and resource allocation
- Represent and assist senior officials and legislative bodies on budget issues
- Oversee formulation of Umoja budget and reporting enhancements
- Lead engagement with Member State representatives
- Oversee recruitment and management of division staff
- Drive innovation in budgeting, performance management and data products
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in business or public administration, finance, accounting, law, economics, social sciences or related area, or first-level degree with two additional years
- Over fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in financial management and budgeting
- At least five years of senior management experience including technical leadership in programme and project management and budgeting
- Experience presenting proposals to legislative or governing bodies in the UN or inter-governmental organizations
- English required
