Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for programme planning and budgeting
  • Advise senior leadership on budgetary policy and resource allocation
  • Represent and assist senior officials and legislative bodies on budget issues
  • Oversee formulation of Umoja budget and reporting enhancements
  • Lead engagement with Member State representatives
  • Oversee recruitment and management of division staff
  • Drive innovation in budgeting, performance management and data products

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in business or public administration, finance, accounting, law, economics, social sciences or related area, or first-level degree with two additional years
  • Over fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in financial management and budgeting
  • At least five years of senior management experience including technical leadership in programme and project management and budgeting
  • Experience presenting proposals to legislative or governing bodies in the UN or inter-governmental organizations
  • English required
