Responsibilities

  • Develop banking and investment policies, rules and procedures for UN Secretariat entities worldwide
  • Negotiate and manage banking agreements including global cash pooling arrangements
  • Establish and maintain relationships with commercial banks, central banks and multilateral institutions
  • Develop investment strategies and oversee compliance with Financial Regulations and Rules
  • Manage the Organization's exposure to treasury-related financial risks
  • Oversee anti-fraud mechanisms and technology solutions for digital payment systems
  • Lead and direct teams across Cashiers, Investments, Global Banking, Risk and Compliance, and Insurance sections

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in finance, business, or related field; Bachelor's degree plus 2 additional years of relevant experience accepted in lieu
  • Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible experience in treasury and finance, including investments, cash management, banking, payments and foreign exchange in international markets
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in financial operational management at the international level, including supervision of investments
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing relations with key stakeholders such as member state and central bank representatives
  • Experience managing high-performing finance teams
  • Experience in accounting and budgeting
  • Experience with SWIFT electronic banking platform and electronic trading platforms such as Bloomberg or similar
