Investment Officer (Private Equity)

The Investment Officer supports UNJSPF's Private Equity Team in managing a global private-markets portfolio, analysing holdings and risk, researching funds and managers, integrating responsible-investment principles, developing recommendations and reporting portfolio performance to senior investment leadership.

• Monitor private-equity and real-assets holdings and conduct security and portfolio analysis
• Balance strategic objectives and performance targets while complying with investment risk parameters
• Integrate responsible-investment principles into analysis and monitoring of internal and external holdings
• Perform fundamental analysis using financial statements, market information and external research
• Evaluate research providers and external managers and present periodic portfolio reviews
• Develop investment and asset-allocation recommendations based on safety, profitability, liquidity and convertibility
• Prepare accurate investment reports for OIM leadership and UNJSPF governing bodies

• Advanced university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field, or a first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience spanning quantitative and qualitative investment analysis, portfolio management, portfolio analytics and legal negotiations
• Fluency in English at UN Level II
• Compliance with UN financial disclosure requirements and OIM ethics and personal-investment policies

• Chartered Financial Analyst designation
• Investment experience at a private-equity or private-credit firm
• Investment experience at an institutional investor such as a pension fund, endowment or foundation
• Investment experience at an investment bank or consulting firm
