Investment Officer / Associate Investment Officer – Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services

IFC seeks an Investment Officer or Associate Investment Officer in Guatemala City or San José to originate, structure, negotiate and supervise investments across manufacturing, agribusiness and services, develop client pipelines, manage portfolio transactions and mentor junior investment staff.

Department: Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services, Latin America and the Caribbean

• Lead business development and identify priority companies for IFC investment
• Build networks with companies, financial institutions, advisers and credit agencies
• Evaluate, structure, negotiate and close investments and portfolio transactions
• Develop innovative financial structures for complex transactions
• Build a pipeline of high-quality investment opportunities
• Manage client and partner relationships across the investment lifecycle
• Mentor junior investment staff and coordinate multidisciplinary client solutions

• Demonstrated track record leading complex investment transactions from origination through commitment and portfolio supervision
• Ability to structure, negotiate and close investments and restructurings across manufacturing, agribusiness and services
• Professional English communication for investment analysis, negotiation and client engagement

• The final title and duty station will be determined between Investment Officer and Associate Investment Officer and between Guatemala City and San José
• The role serves IFC’s Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services team in Latin America and the Caribbean
