Job Description
This temporary Staff Assistant post supports the Registry of the United Nations Appeals Tribunal in New York. It provides office management, travel and meeting support, prepares and quality-controls judicial and administrative documents, maintains case records and databases, and coordinates confidential communications and workflow for the Tribunal’s registry operations.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide office-management and administrative support to the UNAT Registry
- Arrange travel for UNAT judges and process travel authorisations and expense reports
- Proofread and format judgments, orders and other Tribunal documents
- Create electronic case binders and maintain paper and electronic records
- Prepare meeting minutes and monitor follow-up actions
- Update internal databases and conduct quality control of outgoing documents
Role Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of administrative, legal-support, meeting-servicing or general office-support experience, reduced to 3 years with a first-level university degree
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and MS Teams or SharePoint
- English
Desired Criteria
- Technical or vocational certificate in administrative services, human resources, personnel management or paralegal services
- Experience with Adobe Pro or similar applications
- Experience using ERP systems for travel administration
