Provides legal assistance to United Nations staff through the Office of Staff Legal Assistance in Nairobi and New York. The officer handles complex administrative, disciplinary and appellate matters; conducts research; prepares legal opinions, briefs and submissions; advises clients; represents them before UN tribunals; negotiates settlements; develops legal instruments and policies; and leads.
