Job Description
Manages the day-to-day operations and work programme of SHAPE’s Office of Legal Affairs on behalf of the ACO Legal Advisor. The role coordinates legal-office staff and stakeholders, prepares legal and executive materials, oversees records and information systems, supports compliance and security functions, and represents the office in NATO boards, meetings and committees.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Manage the legal division’s work programme and daily operations
- Prepare briefings, research and documents for the ACO Legal Advisor
- Coordinate communication between the legal office, Command Group and NATO commands
- Review outgoing correspondence for quality and compliance
- Oversee secure archiving, classification and retrieval of legal records
- Draft legal correspondence, directives, procedures and terms of reference
- Supervise civilian and military personnel supporting legal-office functions
Role Requirements
- Experience in a coordination or front office supporting an executive or general/flag officer
- Managerial experience in a military headquarters or international organisation
- University degree in law or related discipline, or higher secondary education with advanced vocational training and four years of post-related experience
- English SLP 3333
- Nationality of a NATO member state
- Ability to obtain NATO Secret security clearance

Additional Information
- Annual temporary duty may be required for up to 30 days
- Newly recruited staff receive a three-year definite-duration contract
